Concentration of a Limewater Solution
Grouping of a Limewater Solution To decide the grouping of a Limewater Solution Point To decide the fixation a 250 cm3 limewater arrangement, this contains roughly 1g dm-3 of calcium hydroxide. Likewise known is the convergence of HCL at 2.00mol dm-3. Presentation A titration strategy will be utilized to work out the centralization of the limewater Be that as it may, before the convergence of the limewater can be worked out, the right centralization of HCL must be worked out and a perfect marker utilized in the titration technique must be picked. HCL Concentration The known convergence of limewater is 1g dm-3 and the grouping of the HCL is 2.00 mol dm-3. The centralization of HCL too high and must be decreased by weakening. Pointer Markers in titrations are utilized to decide the end purpose of the balance of the response of an analyte arrangement (obscure fixation) by the expansion of a titrant arrangement (known focus and volume). The end-point is appeared by the adjustment in shade of the pointer present in the analyte arrangement. A perfect pointer should: Have a sharp shading change with the goal that only 1 drop of corrosive will cause the analyte answer for change shading right away, as opposed to a slow shading change from as increasingly corrosive is included. A particular shading this makes it simpler to recognize the shading change, when the analyte has totally been killed. The shading change ought to occur at the identicalness point, which is the point that the quantity of moles of titrant arrangement is equivalent to number of moles of the analyte arrangement. The pointer ââ¬ËPhenolphthalein has these perfect properties and will be reasonable for the titration. In this titration, the official or titrant arrangement will be HCL and the analyte arrangement will be the limewater, the phenolphthalein marker will be set in the limewater [Ca(OH)2(aq)]. In a base, phenolphthalein changes shading to ââ¬Ëpink and when in an impartial arrangement, it will get dull. The response: Ca(OH)2(aq) + 2HCl(aq) CaCl2(aq) + 2H2O(l) Is principally a base [Ca(OH)2(aq)] in addition to a corrosive [2HCl(aq)] which produces water and a salt [CaCl2(aq)] (both all together). In this way in his titration, as HCL is added to Ca(OH)2(aq) the marker should abandon ââ¬Ëpink to vapid upon the total balance of Ca(OH)2(aq). Planning Before the titration can start, we should locate the right centralization of HCl worked out from the giving convergence of Ca(OH)2(aq). Anyway the Ca(OH)2(aq) is yielding ââ¬Ëgrams dm-3 and HCL is giving in ââ¬Ëmol dm-3, subsequently one of the fixation must be changed over to indistinguishable units from the other. Limewater [Ca(OH)2(aq) ] changed over from ââ¬Ëgrams dm-3 to ââ¬Ëmol dm-3 Ca(OH)2(aq) has a grouping of 1g dm-3, which implies that 1 gram of Ca(OH)2(aq) is broken up in 1 dm-3 of water or 1000cm-3. Utilizing the condition Moles = Mass/RMM we can change over the units. Moles = Mass/RMM Mass Ca(OH)2(aq) = 1 gram RMM Ca(OH)2(aq) = 40 + 2(16 + 1) = 74 Moles = 1/74 = 0.0135 moldm (3 sig) Grouping of HCL The Limewater [Ca(OH)2(aq) ] has now, indistinguishable units of focus from HCL. Ca(OH)2(aq) + 2HCl(aq) CaCl2(aq) + 2H2O(l) This response shows that 2 moles of HCL are responding with 1 mole Limewater [Ca(OH)2(aq) ]. In this way the grouping of HCL must be twofold that of Limewater [Ca(OH)2(aq) ] at approx 0.0200 moldm-3, as it is unfeasible to get it at precisely at 0.270 moldm-3. This implies the HCL must be weakened by a factor of 100, again this likewise illogical, so it will be twice by a factor of 10. Perils and Safety Key focuses on wellbeing and dangers when playing out the test. Perils HCL is destructive and poisonous. Limewater [Ca(OH)] can have unfriendly effects with long haul introduction. Wellbeing Gear must be washed when the test, to maintain a strategic distance from any mistakes in hardware from synthetic follows. Security goggles and synthetic safe dress, for example, a sterile garment must be worn consistently around during the system because of high centralization of HCL. The work region must be remained careful and clean, to keep away from any viable risks Ensure that the burette tap is shut when filling it and utilize a pipe to maintain a strategic distance from any spillages. The pipe must be expelled from the burette after use to keep away from mistakes in results from the official (HCL) dribbling into it from the channel and would be a peril. The First titration The main titration is a harsh titration, to show a sign at what unpleasant volume of HCL the shading change will be at. This expectation of the harsh volume permits the following titrations to be increasingly precise. Open the tap gradually and let the HCL trickle into the cone shaped flagon at a predictable rate and simultaneously gulp the cone shaped cup Continue this until there is a shading change from the limewater [Ca(OH)2(aq) ] in the cone shaped jar from ââ¬Ëpink to ââ¬Ëcolourless, when this shading change occurs, close the tap . Record on a table the volume of HCL at the purpose of the shading change at long last point section in the drawn table. Wash out he tapered carafe and rehash stages 1 to 4 Further titrations Open the tap gradually and let the HCL trickle into the funnel shaped jar and higher rate than in the unpleasant titration and gulp the conelike jar. Do this until the volume of HCL is 10 cm3 away from the harsh end point volume. Now decrease the pace of the trickle, to at any rate 1 drop a second, and gulp the cone shaped cup more (be mindful so as not to spill it), this will permit each drop to be killed and the limewater to show a shading change before the following one dribbles, guaranteeing increasingly precise outcomes. Close the tap at the purpose of the shading change and record the end point volumes in the drawn table. Rehash stages 7 and 8 five times and records the outcomes in the drawn table, guarantee that at any rate 3 of the further titration end point esteems are reliable inside 0.2cm3 of one another. Radio Frequency Identification RFID Tags â⬠MyAssignmenthelp.com
Question: Talk about the Radio Frequency Identification RFID Tags. Answer: Presentation: The most embraced innovation that is generally utilized is the RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) innovation that is utilized for following products and articles in coordinations and flexibly chain applications. The RFID innovation has two gadgets in the framework. One section is a cross examiner or a peruser which has cross examination and empowerment work (Ariff, Ismarani and Shamsuddin 2014). The subsequent part is a transponder or a label which is connected to the articles and transmits the information back to the peruser. The tag of RFID likewise has two sections: a RFID chip and radio wire. This report predominantly comprises of two RFID frameworks of UHF (Ultra High Frequency) and SHF (Super High Frequency). UHF labels of RFID don't have power source which is ready as opposed to utilizing reception apparatus for collecting vitality from RF peruser field and to enact the hardware (Bagirathi and Sankar 2017). Latent labels of UHF don't move new power as opposed to reflecting back to peruser the constant wave that is gotten by changing the impedance of the radio wire. The recieving wire tag ought to be proficient and ought to be coordinated appropriately to chip with the goal that the collected force is amplified and furthermore accomplish a range up to 10 meters (Bashir et al. 2017). Dynamic labels fundamentally have SHF frequencies running between 433 MHz to 915 MHz. Natural contemplations, label determination and client inclination basically directs which application utilizes which recurrence. By and large RFID frameworks which work on 433 MHz are supported by organizations due to its long frequency. The long frequencies empowers to work better with water and metal. In this digitization time, the utilization of Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) is quickly developing since it has numerous favorable circumstances with correlation with Auto-IDs. As talked about over, the arrangement of RFID has two sections known as tag and the peruser (Bibi et al. 2017). The primary capacity of the RFID framework is to recover all the data naturally with the assistance of peruser which is put away in the tag beforehand. There are likewise a few constraints of utilizing RFID tag as the labels have single reception apparatus which is utilized for backscattering and getting (Chambe et al. 2014). The chip that is available in the label changes the impedance between the mind boggling qualities and short out worth which regulates the sign that is back scatterer as indicated by which the data is put away inside the chip on the other hand. The reception apparatus doesn't get any sort of intensity from peruser during short out (Dakir et al. 2017). Consequently, the effectiveness of vitality assimilation keeps on dropping altogether. Two impedance cut off the conjugate coordinated in the short out stage, the status won't give greatest distinction in impedance in backscattered signals that outcomes in read the signs in shorter range. This issue of RFID has additionally been relieved. The procedure of short out is alleviated by executing double structure of radio wire. In a solitary RFID chip, a double reception apparatus structure is fused (Donno, Catarinucci and Tarricone 2014). With the consolidation of double reception apparatus, all the signs are used for backscattering and getting the activities independently. In huge numbers of the reception apparatuses of RFID labels, UHF (Ultra High Frequency) and SHF (Super High Frequency) groups are proposed (Ding et al. 2014). In a portion of the frameworks, convectional recept ion apparatuses that are single are utilized and others utilizes double recieving wire. The Rationale The most critical bit of leeway of Radio Frequency Identification utilizing UHF and SHF is that they can utilizes double structure of recieving wire which permits the sign to peruse information from far away. There are for the most part two kinds of UHF; dynamic UHF and inactive UHF. Latent UHF can peruse information across rooms moreover. The dynamic and aloof labels which are battery helped can peruse the information in the labels across structures and furthermore in condition which has troublesome Radio Frequency (Fernndez-Carams et al. 2016). The measure of information that a RFID label stores is multiple times more than the information that are put away in scanner tags. This permits to keep more information tracks that is required in stock which incorporates parcel number, sequential number, subtleties of maker, client, area of creation, merchant, date of termination and a lot more subtleties of the item that is required. In this report, there is an expounded investigation about the utilization of Ultra High Frequency and Super High Frequency in Radio Frequency Identification applications. There are many favorable position and burdens of utilizing RFID in any applications (Huber et al. 2014). Those quality and disadvantages are intricately depicted in this report. There are sure impediments of utilizing UTF and STF in RFID applications which are looked into in this report. Some contextual analyses are referenced for instance of UTF and STF to have insights regarding the point. Some proposal just as decision about utilizing UTF and STF is concentrated in this report. Extension and Limitation Extension: The frameworks of standardized identification are chiefly utilized for keeping the data of the item, cost, stock control and some more. Be that as it may, these frameworks have a few downsides when contrasted and RFID (Itoh and Machida 2014). The scanner tag stores extremely less measure of information as contrasted and RFID. Roughly 1000 bytes information can be put away in Radio Frequency Identification labels. The RFID labels utilizing UTF and STF are essentially explicit to every one of the things, yet scanner tags are not explicit. For taking care of the standardized tag framework, human cooperation is required. Standardized tag needs access of time of sight to optical scanner for data that is item related (Jeon et al. 2017). On the off chance that the data that is put away in the standardized tag is to be altered, at that point the entire scanner tag is to be supplanted which isn't the situation utilizing RFID. The information can be adjusted in the gracefully chain in RFID by a communication among peruser and microchip. The arrangement of scanner tag isn't exact as RFID. To utilize RFID in the vast majority of the frameworks empowers simple treatment of the framework and the extent of putting away information is additionally high. Restriction: As there is extraordinary potential in the arrangement of RFID in neighborhood segment, there are likewise a few constraints of utilizing RFID tag. The fundamental disadvantage is the expense of the RFID tag. When contrasted with other segment in the coordinations gathering, the expense of RFID tag is a lot higher than different frameworks, for example, standardized identification framework. The pioneers of modern division are fundamentally worried about the venture return and furthermore the net benefit by making greater speculation of the additional expense in the framework (Kamalvand, Pandey and Meshram 2016). The measure of volume that is utilized in the framework is relied upon cost. The least cost that is accessible is low as 7.2 pennies and 10 million in volume and units individually. The RFID tag is around 30 to 40 pennies for littler volume while the expense of a standardized tag is about 4cents. There is additionally confinement on the protection and security of RFID framework for the unapproved perusers. The client protection faces an extraordinary test (Kibria, Islam and Yatim 2013). Assailants can follow the labels effectively that are utilized in RFID frameworks. There is an ID sequential number in the RFID frameworks utilizing labels and furthermore communicates an EPC (Electronic Product Code) to all the close by perusers. For this, there is a higher possibility of infringement in regards to the protection. Another constraint originates from the innovation. There are numerous frameworks that utilization radio signs for their transmission (Kuhn et al. 2016). As the RFID framework depends on the radio recurrence, other radio signs of various frameworks can change the signs. The obstruction degree essentially relies upon the recurrence of tag and the condition that is utilized on. There is likewise an absence of normalization in utilizing the RFID labels. The Radio Frequency Identification is in its first stage and needs a lot of progress to proceed. The Radio Frequency Identification has numerous renditions which work on various frequencies. They likewise need various kinds of perusers and programming (Laheurte et al. 2014). To diminish the impediment, there ought to be a fixed measure of recurrence so that there stays an interoperability in the middle of the wholesalers, retailers and producers. Framework Implementation and Types There are a few applications that utilization RFID with UHF and SHF. This contextual investigation presents a solitary sided RFID tag with double band reception apparatus. This label covers frequencies of 915 MHz to 2450 MHz at the UHF (Upper High Frequency) and SHF (Super High Frequency) groups separately. The label recieving wire that is proposed for this situation study has single sided structure of radio wire with the ground plane (Lai, Xie and Cen 2013). The reception apparatus that is proposed can likewise be utilized with some metallic articles without corruption in execution that is inverse to traditional label recieving wire. The label recieving wire that is portrayed has a structure of double radio wire both at Upper High Frequency and furthermore at Super High Frequency for convectional signal. There are two reception apparatuses that are free (Marani and Perri 2015). One is utilized for backscattering and the other is utilized for getting. The radio wire 2 which is the ba ckscattering reception apparatus for the most part upgrades the understanding reach. The radio wire with 2450 MHz goes about as a solitary ordinary reception apparatus for getting signs and recieving wire 2 is utilized for backscattering activity. The radio wire 2 isn't used at 2450 MHz. The accepting radio wire is in a F-shape space and modified L-molded rectangular fix. The backscattering radio wire is made with line structure that is of wandered type. Legitimate enhancement should be possible with the double conduct band structure with the F-molded and the L-formed openings (Marques, Egels and Pannier 2016). RCS (Radar Cross Section) is utilized to assess the presentation, read range and increase of the reception apparatus. The structure idea of the reception apparatus with estimated and recreated results are predominantly examined for this situation study. The recreations that are utilized in the recieving wire are performed utilizing the FEM (Finite Element Method) that is primarily founded on HFSS (High Frequency Structure Simulator) of Ansys. The reception apparatus has a double structure with t

Dressy Clothes - Personal Statement Example You as well, additionally feel satisfied with yourself on account of all the uplifting feedback picked up by the endorsement of others. Regularly, what we wear is an impression of what we feel. In any event, individuals believe that our garments reflect what we feel. For instance, numerous people who are grieving a demise sport dark for a while. At the point when we see an individual in grieving wear we are consequently thoughtful and treat them with greater affectability. At the point when we see somebody who is nattily wearing open, we will in general keep away from any associate. In some cases our responses are subliminal yet in any case, the responses do occur. For this task, I went out shopping and treated myself to some new things. I unquestionably wore my new outfits for four days straight and must concede that I honestly, was somewhat satisfied with myself. I found that individuals were all the more cordial towards me and I ended up with more certainty. I found that I was more well-suited to start discussions instead of react to them. I wanted to uncover myself more and be increasingly social then previously. I found that I grinned promptly and there was a sure new trust in my walk. It was just about a step. Death Triumph or Tragedy - Literature Essay Samples
Emily Dickinsons poem, I Heard a Fly Buzz When I Died, is an attempt to answer one of the premier questions of life: What happens when we die? In her word choice, images, and patterns of sound, Dickinson reflects the incongruence between the prevailing religious attitudes about death and the afterlife and her personal feelings about immortality. She seems to say that we may think we have figured out how death will be, but maybe it isnt that way at all. Maybe it is not attended by the strains of heavenly choirs or brilliant lights illuminating the mysteries of eternity. Maybe death is as ordinary as a fly buzzing around the room, and when its over the soul is left sitting in the dark.Like her life, the poem is a mixture of conformity and nonconformity. It is written in the form, rhythm, and meter of a church hymn four stanzas of four iambic lines with four stresses in the first and third lines, and three stresses in the second and fourth lines. Thoughts of death and immortalit y may require this kind of dignity, but the likeness to a hymn ends there. She does not perfectly rhyme the second and fourth lines, but uses slant rhyme instead, as in Room-Storm, firm-Room, and be-Fly. Using these approximate rhymes often capture[s] the jarring discords and painful doubts [of her] thought[s] (Pickard 51). The message here is not the praise of Almighty God. In fact, we are led to wonder if God enters at all. From the first line Dickinson sets us up for an untraditional view of death. I heard a fly buzz is what we might say about a sound we hear at a picnic or on a walk through a garden, but she startles us by ending with when I died. Immediately we know that the speaker is delivering the message to us from beyond the veil. We are startled that a dying soul would be able to focus on such insignificant background noise, but the description of the room in the next three lines supplies a reason why a fly might be heard:The Stillness in the RoomWas like the Sti llness in the Air Between the Heaves of Storm (L 2-4)She compares the stillness in the death room to the feeling that the air has between heavy storms, as when the eye of a hurricane passes over the land before the next onslaught of wind and rain. There is a hush of tense, dreadful anticipation, ears open for the tiniest sound. The final consonant m in room and storm adds to the feeling of heaviness and thickness in the atmosphere, as does the use of the word heaves, which, even though it means to rise or come up, has a sensation of weight to it. Also, it is an example of how Dickinson is able use the precise word to support her underlying premise that nothing is what it seems to be in this poem.Using upper case letters at the beginning of Stillness and Room gives them the quality of proper nouns this is a special kind of stillness and a special kind of room made sacred by respect for the dying and by the nearness of eternity. Dickinson uses consonance t o add to the rhythm of these lines as she repeats the initial st in stillness, stillness, and storm, but because they are opposite in nature she continues the incongruity of the poem , linking them together by their sound just as the sound of the fly is linked to dying. With two simple words in the second stanza, Eyes and Breaths, Dickinson creates an entire image of mourners gathered around the bed in silent expectation, The Eyes around had wrung them dry. These mourners have shed their final tears, and although eyes cant be wrung like a wet handkerchief, we can imagine a few women standing near the bed with twisted handkerchiefs held tightly in abeyance, ready in case another crying bout comes over them. In the next line we almost see the rise of their breasts as they inhale deep Breaths. . .gathering firm / For that last Onset, the moment when the spirit slips away from the body and all is over. According to one Dickinson biographer, John Pickard, it was a common practice in Emily Dickinsons time to observe the dying. For those with a religious faith, the moment of death meant that a soul left its body to enter paradise. Thus the dying persons final actions were carefully scrutinized for an indication of immortalitys approach (103). It may be that the curious onlookers want to hurry the moment along so that they can ease their own minds regarding deaths mystery. Dickinson surely witnessed a few such scenes at the deaths of her own loved ones, and because she always lived with dubious faith, she needed to examine this moment. Pickard concludes that, she was continually preoccupied with death, resurrection, immortality, and judgment and never ceased examining the undeniable reality of God (8). So this onset of death is a crucial moment for her. However, an onset is not only defined as a commencement of something positive, as the onset of spring, it can also be an attack or assault, as to withstand the onset of the army (Webster 802), which is a fu rther confirmation of her uncertainty about death being a triumph or tragedy. With this thought in mind, let us look at the next two lines of the poem. when the King / Be witnessed in the Room. Who or what does the King symbolize? One reviewer believes Dickinson equates the King with death itself: All of the elements in this part of the poem lead up to the impending arrival of the King who is Death (Beck 31). Another views the King as a symbol of the Lord Jesus Christ, as in the Christian tradition, the Lord is commonly titled the King of Kings.Death is thus a moment when the King of Terrors is defeated by the King of Kings, and the equanimity with which Dickinsons narrator awaits death strongly suggests that the King who is to be witnessed then is as much or more the Lord as he is Death. (Bachinger 13) Either interpretation allows the King to usher in the time of death. If the King is death, his onset is an attack on life. If the King is Jesus Christ, his glorious onset brings the gift of eternal life. Whether death is the King because it has power over life, or Christ is the King because he also has power over life does not change the essence of the poem. Having the King represent Christ would fit with Dickinsons agnosticism in that if Christ the King is supposed to come and escort the soul of man to its eternal home accompanied by great light and angelic music, it certainly doesnt happen here. There is only a buzzing fly and darkness. It is as if her hopes are for eternal life, but her fears persist in telling her otherwise. Pickard notes that, for her death remained the supreme experience, which brought either new spiritual existence or lifeless immobility (124), so the question remains unanswered. The third stanza continues the dilemma as the dead one explains his preparations for death, I willed my Keepsakes Signed away / What portion of me be / Assignable (9-11). Dickinson creates an inner rhythm with the words Signed and assignable, just as t he speaker may feel inner peace by allotting his worldly goods to others. But, in truth, the speaker has little control over life or death. He has made his earthly arrangements; the spiritual arrangements are out of his hands. He cant assign any heavenly reward to himself that can only be done by God. What he is able to transfer to others is not part of himself, merely objects outside of himself associated with memories. The word Keepsakes implies that the objects are material things kept sacred, and perhaps Dickinson is saying that sacredness is left behind when we die because there are no heavenly mansions awaiting us as the ministers of her day taught. In support of this idea, Pickard quotes from Emily Dickinson: The Mind of a Poet by Albert J. Gelpi that she believed that the supernatural is only the natural disclosed and continually wondered if heaven could possess all the beauty found on earth (38).At this point the dying soul and his mourners are prepared for the final moment to come, and there is nothing left to do but await the entrance of the King. Then quickly, before we know what is happening, Dickinson breaks the poem apart as sharply as the snapping of a dry, brittle tree branch with these lines and then it was / There interposed a Fly. The word interposed lets us know precisely that this is no wandering summer insect who has accidentally flown into the room. It is an unholy intruder upon this somber scene. It has taken a position between the dying and death and signals that there will be no happy ending. Not only does this fly appear at the most inopportune moment, but it appears With Blue uncertain stumbling Buzz. The word Blue could refer to the color of the fly, but with Dickinson it means so much more. In Emily Dickinsons Imagery, Rebecca Patterson has made an extensive study of the use of color in Dickinsons poems and letters. She says that Whether azure, mazarine, sapphire, or plain blue, the color is most often and natural ly associated with the sky. If [she] is happy, blue connotes warmth, freedom unlimitless power. If unhappy, it is the color of death or of the cold, frightening veil between this world and the next (Patterson 123). This interpretation seems to fit perfectly within this poem. The speaker is not experiencing freedom or unlimitless power, rather he is up against the veil of the invisible world beyond. The fly has an uncertain, stumbling, Blue Buzz and as Dickinson creates this synesthesia of color and sound, she reflects the uncertainty in her own mind regarding what is going to happen to the spirit at death (Pickard 52). As the fly comes between the light and me (14), it interferes with the expected peaceful passing on. Whatever vision is anticipated is obscured because of the fly.Is the fly just a petty irritant which distracts from the magnificent approach of death (Pickard 104)? Is it representative of decay and putrefaction of something ugly and unpleasant (Beck 31)? Katrina Bachinger believes that For Dickinson, that little Fly is God. He who hears its uncertain stumbling Buzz and sees its Blue, a favorite romantic color for Eternity, does not neglect God, the King of Kings, but enters Heaven before death (15). According to her interpretation, God, in the form of the Fly, comes between the light and takes the persona of the poem to Heaven before his final expiration. However, because the final two lines of the poem And then the Windows failed and then / I could not see to see, indicate that whatever light there might have been on the other side of the window was blotted out by the fly, Pickards and Becks interpretations seem to better fit the mood of the entire poem, that death is not the ultimate spiritual experience. Pecks interpretation of the fly as an irritant also supports Dickinsons feeling that nature, God, and man are rarely in harmony (Pickard 38). We must also reiterate that Dickinson did not hold with the traditional religious views of her time. She was not confident about the existence of immortality, although she desired it. If, when the last breath is exhaled and the eyes the Windows of the soul look toward eternity and see nothing, it would confirm her suspicions that all the grandeur and illumination are myths. Instead of a King, the last thing the speaker sees is a fly, something small, ugly, unpleasant, and in the context rather sinister, the very ironic opposite of a King (Beck 31). It is interesting that here in the last stanza, where the speaker experiences the most confusion, Dickinson uses exact rhyme, me-see-see. Again, the theme of incongruity is reinforced. At the moment of death the rhyme ties the lines together to a complete ending, which is the office of death, to settle the confusion of life. But the words do not shine with a glorious, celestial light. Instead, the Windows failed. It is as if Dickinson is saying that in trying to see or understand more than a person is give n to know (I could not see to see) the speaker in the poem causes his own bewilderment. Deaths Immanence In Life in Shakespeares King Lear Essay
In the play King Lear by William Shakespeare, the idea of self-awareness is portrayed through death. More specifically, Lear illustrates self-awareness by refusing the inevitability of old age. With death comes self- awareness. Lear has a clear perception of reality as a king and loving father; however its evident that Lears daughters give him a completely different identity than the one he gives himself. It suggests his old age and faults. During Lears first identity crisis, he rhetorically asks ââ¬Å"Does any here know me? Why, this is not Lear (I. iv. 10)â⬠as if he doesnt quite know how to define himself other than a ââ¬Å"kingâ⬠. A godly manifestation much? Its as if he is intentionally trying to alienate himself. As if he views all mankind to be a foreign concept due to the irrational state of life. He curses, ââ¬Å"You cataracts and hurricanoes, spout Till you have drenched our steeples, drowned the cocks!(III. ii. 32)â⬠to defy the elements. We cant help but see Lear act against nature as if he is the storm itself. Moreover, he tries to justify his temper by mentioning that nothing can hurt him more than his daughters. Not even the elements can corrupt this poor, old man. We see the storm bring about awareness when Lear exclaims,ââ¬Å"You sulfurous and thought-executing fires, Vaunt-couriers of oak-cleaving thunderbolts, Singe my white head!(III. ii. 33)â⬠as if he begins to finally discover his true hair color which directly correlates with his age. I see that Lear is becoming aware of his age, but not willing to accept the anemic state of his body and mind. He intentionally makes note of his hair color, but the realization leaves him in a state of mental insanity soon to discover his impending death. The inevitabili ty of death begins to settle into Lear, not enabling him to accept it, but to drive him towards the brink of insanity. We begin to see Lear view life as an existential concept that constricts his mental state. The painful surprise of mortality leads him to go insane and his anger turns into
Citizen Gas Company
Question: Write an essay on Citizen Gas Company. Answer: Citizen Gas Company, the natural gas provider has three types of consumers: Residential, Commercial and Industrial. There is a huge weather dependency in order to usage of gas in case of the residential revenue. On the other hand, the gas usage of commercial consumers is partly weather dependent whereas consumers of industrial usage is governed by factors of business comprehensively. In the current consumer demand of supply, the company has been planning to establish long term contracts with ten pipeline existing companies and provide supply during the gas year, however, the company figured out problems in CGCs planning efforts. To correct this problem, the company has appointed a new director of corporate planning. To solving the problems of lost sales and oversupply at the gas end, the director has presented a new conceptual design. In this report, the researcher will analyze the structure and features of the new system of CGC and further incorporate adequate planning capability. Discussion Natural gas is a versatile clean burning and efficient fuel that is used in a variety of application (Holade et al. 2015). Due to having a huge demand of the natural gas provider, CGC is currently operating with ten pipeline companies in the amount specified in contracts however, the company needs to be specified gas volume contract w1ith the pipelines companies. Under the previous gas supplying system, all contractual agreements with the pipelines companies were short terms and others maintained the take-or-pay clauses. Although the pipelines are efficient means of transporting natural gas ensuring speed, safety and smoothness (Khadem and Boozarjomehry 2015). However the company falls short to achieve the demand of consumers during the gas end period. Here in this context, the company changed their existing gas transportation system and implemented a new conceptual diagram to overcome the indentified problems. Criteria to be considered in specifying the structure: There are many factors considered before developing a new system: Firstly, there were many contracts where supply over the contract amount was not specified. Furthermore, many pipelines companies were transporting natural gasses containing take-or-pay clauses. In that case, the company faced problem in accomplishing the customer demand because gas was not enough stored in their storage destination. Under the certain contract, many pipeline companies supplied natural gas which was varying according to the heating season (Fujiwara et al. 2015). That means industrial consumers were deprived from the use of natural gas since these customers consumed gases entirely by business factors in spite of weather dependency. In other way, the company forced to be curtailed the demand of the industrial consumers and thus, has resulted in lost sales. Secondly, the excess natural gas of CGC was putting into their underground storage for future use. Here the company made no boundaries on the storage field of gas, however, the company made sure that the storage field must be full at the commencement of each gas year. For this reason, the company could not provide demand to the industrial consumers in the middle of the gas year to accomplish the estimated demand and fill the storage field at the beginning of each gas year. Thirdly, the company curtailed the demand of the usage of commercial and industrial consumers in maximum cases because the company projected their customer demand only as a function of the number of customers regardless the volume of the usage. Here the company did not even consider that industrial revenue per capital {$(65000000/2000) = $32500} is far more that the residential consumers {$(160000000/160000) = $1000} though the number of customer demand is low. Fourthly, GGCS planning efforts have not sufficiently controlled the supply so the company often faced problem of oversupply at the end of the gas year. However, this information is indeed necessary for establishing long term contracts with the pipeline companies. Features of the new system of CGC: By specifying all the above criteria, the newly hired director of CGC is offered a conceptual design framework for an effective system of information. This system is being developed for better analyzing the supply and demand in their interface. There are many features of the new system of CEG have been identified. These features are as follows: Firstly, the system will provide a gas plan on monthly basis for the next 5 years where emphasis given on the initial year. By this process, the company can monitor the consumers demand more effectively. Currently, the company is providing natural gas service to 200000 consumers where most of the customers are used natural gas for their residential purpose. Here the residential consumers gas consumption is highly correlated with the weather (Hori et al. 2013). These demand variations can easily be monitored after the implementation. Secondly, the integrated corporate planning system will help to monitor the monthly usage production. With the help of this data, the management of the company can make an effective decision regarding the gas storage system. Here the integrated storage system made restriction on the gas storage field. By the effective planning process, the project manager can make balanced decision between demand and supply well. Whenever, the projected demand will high, the gas can be transported by pipeline to patrons or can be put into underground storage for future use. Therefore, the company can reduce their cost regarding the gas storage field. In this way, the company can reduce the excess supply problem at the end of the gas year. Thirdly, the new system will use the definite data during the estimation of the estimated demand for the year end. Here the projected demand will consider the gas volume usage by customers rather than the demand of the consumer. Fourthly, the plan has indicated that further decisions of the company will be based on operating income of the specified period. Here the efforts would be given to enhance the operational efficiency of the company. Therefore, the company can try to reduce per unit costs by increasing the sales volume of during the end of the gas period. Required data for adequate planning capability: The following are the data which should be included into the new system of CGC to make the entire system adequate for executing capabilities. Firstly, the company needs to record the information of consumed energy on monthly basis. Here the projected customer demand will be evaluated with the estimated consumed energy of the natural gas (Cai et al. 2015). Furthermore, the storage field of the company can optimally use by the project manager, thus the company can avoid issues regarding the excess of supply. Secondly, Previously customer demand has been anticipated only as a function of the total number of customers. According to the changed plan the company will exploit the genuine data during the year to project demand for every year. To enhance the planning capability the company should assess the revenue generation capacity related to the corresponding class of consumers. By this practice, the company will find that industrial consumers are the most potential consumers based on the highest consumption factor if the company evaluates data regarding revenue per customers (Buonocore 2016). Therefore, the demand for gas should not be curtailed for higher capacity consumption. To increase the projected consumer demand of industrial consumers, the natural gas provider company should sale increased volume for business factors. Generally, the largest direct use of natural gas by the industry sector is for heating and cooling, process heating for glass melting, meals preheating, processing of foods, and drying. Therefore, CEG Company needs to explore their potentiality in the industry sector. This is only possible if the company give efforts to increase the availability and low prices of natural gas. Thirdly, the design between the integrated storage size and the natural gas transmission must be developed for maintaining balance regarding the most effective and economical delivery technique (Thomas et al. 2016). Majority of the pipeline systems of natural gas are configured principally for the long distance transmission of gas from production regions to areas of market. This system of wide distance often called as trunklines. The company must ensure to receive the natural gas from their pipeline companies locally from the major local production areas or tricklines. I this way, the company can enhance their operational efficiency and stock turnover rate. Fourthly, the company needs to incorporate data regarding the gas storage system. To improve the gas storage system the company can acquire additional storage facility in order to implement underground storage integration. This data regarding underground storage is an essential component of an efficient and dependable interstate natural gas transmission and distribution network. The adequate size and profile of the system of transmission system often depends in part on the availability of storage (Hault et al.2016). Therefore, the access of underground natural gas storage facilities shall be exploited by the project manager. For this, the company needs to get permits the mainline transmission pipeline operator to develop the portion of its system situated upstream of storage facilities to contain the total reserved capacity commitments. On the other hand, the portion of the system of transmission located downstream of the storage area is designed to hold the maximum peak period requi rements of local distribution firms, and consumers in the area. This will generally influence on the withdrawal level of storage facilities to the system which will link to the projected demand requirement. Fourthly, the risk management strategy regarding the ineffective demand supply curve needs to be considered to provide adequate planning capacity. In the case of the residential customer gas usage, the weather factor must be a risky element for decreasing demand of the company. To increase the selling efficiency the company must be prioritized their risk and mitigate accordingly. Though it is difficult to predict these circumstances, the company shall make the alternative plan. Fifthly, the data regarding the operational expenses of CEG needs to be categorized. These operational expenses include gas transmission costs, costs relating to integrated storage sites, costs relating to the system monitoring technique, value of design process and so on. Under the new system of CEG, the company will take their decision based on the operating income. To increase the operational income, the company needs to increase volume of the sales in per cubic feet, reduce the labor and operational costs relating to the transportation of national gas along with the reduction of costs of goods sold. Sixthly: To improve the efficiency, the company needs to implement Sensor testing. The pressure sensor in the test bed indentified a problem with the sensor. Here the company can identify the data sensitivity, reliability, accuracy and performance. On the other hand, the company should improve their drilling efficiency. The drilling productivity report will analyze drilling efficiency applying the average number of wells a rig which can drill over a period of time. Seventhly: An effective monitoring system needs to be implemented for better planning control mechanisms (Fujiwara et al. 2015). The company should record the supply gas monitoring system to understand the variations and to find out the actual reasons for the downfall in sales at times. This monitoring system will record the growth of the revenue in order to mention the usage of the class of consumers. By this monitoring system, the company can easily understand that which section of consumers are responsible for the large growth of the company. All decision regarding the consumption will be taken on the volume of the sales or the achieved operating income of the company. This decision would be more reliable because per unit consumption can easily be monitored by the project manager. Furthermore, in the devise of control is used to comply with the recommended RACT level of control, such devise must be required to operate at all times when vapors, gases, fumes are vented from the storage to decrease the mass content of emission. For this, the company should implement the devices for vapor recovery which operated to reduce the huge content of VOC in the gases, vented to the devise ninety five percent by weight (Khadem. and Boozarjomehry 2015). To make the carbon emission control mechanism effective, the owner of CEG should be required to develop the carbon replacement schedule for the successful carbon absorption process. This will ensure to continue compliance with the recommended control monitoring system within the interface. Lastly, all the above mentioned data should be integrated into CGCs new system to provide adequate planning capability. However, the company needs to improve the natural gas transmission system which the core area for excellence. Transporting gas from the wellhead to the end consumer involves several transfers of custody physically and multiple processing steps as well (Buonocore et al. 2016). In the new system, the company will buy natural gas from ten different pipelines companies in the volume specified contracts for a specified long period of time. In the new transmission process of natural gas the company will follow the following steps: Plant for processing: process of the extraction of impurities Develop system for mainline transmission: long distance pipelines transport natural gas from the area of production to market areas Centers of Market: At the point where pipelines intersect and flow are transferred Facilities for underground storage: Storage of natural gas for the future use Peak shaving: In this process, system will permit a gas pipeline to accomplish short term flows to fulfill the demand with minimal infrastructure Conclusion Based on the above analyzes of Citizen Gas Company, the researcher has identified several issues related to the previous system. This company has faced many problems in order to maintain the customer demand with supply. There are several times supplied natural gas exceeds customer demands because the company was previously engaged in the number of consumer-driven contract in spite of the gas volume specific contract. However, this report provides a clear perspective and specified the structure and features of CGCs new system. To resolve the identified problem of CGC, the authority of corporate planning of the company is represented with a conceptual design for an effective strategic information system which will help to make a detailed report at the gas year end. The company made several remarkable changes such as monthly gas plan for the next five years. This will help the company to develop a realistic aims and objectives of the company. For this, the company more emphasizes to rev iew the actual data for project demand for the year. On the other hand, the corporate planner will base her decision by analyzing the companys operating income as well. In this report, the researcher illustrated each data item that is important for adequate planning capability.
